CHOSEN 33 was started in 1993 in The Bronx, NY, by two young cousins known as P.R.iZM & ACER (aka Manny & Manny). It first began as Chapter #33 of the Universal Zulu Nation and it quickly grew into it’s own organized network of individuals comprised of all elements of Hip-Hop, and of many races and religions, that felt they were born to make a difference.

CHOSEN 33 the “R.A.P. Group” is essentially a lyrical promotion team for the movement. CHOSEN 33 is comprised of 5 main members (P.R.iZM, ACER, ORRA, LINCOLN & DJ X-R@Y)

CHOSEN 33 is dedicated to restoring the Conscious Elements of the Hip-Hop Culture to the Hip-Hop Music Industry, such as our Spiritual, Political, Religious, Social, Historical, Celestial, Scientific, and Militant Knowledge. 

We also choose to stay true to the original musical sampling aspect of Hip-Hop and use elements of Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Jungle, Salsa, Merengue, R&B, House, Poetry, & Native Music while consistently lacing all tracks with motivating, thought provoking, soul inspiring lyrics to awaken the CHOSEN Soldier in you.

We believe that Hip-Hop is the culture of our generation and that Hip-Hop could be the equivalent of our modern day Civil Rights Movement. We intend to harness this potential through networking with other independent artists and businesses and form our own International “Industry In Da’ Streets”.
